नई दिल्ली। बुधवार, 20 मई 2026 को पूरे देश में 12.4 लाख से ज़्यादा Medical Stores बंद रहे। All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists (AIOCD) की अगुवाई में यह राष्ट्रव्यापी हड़ताल दो बड़े मुद्दों के विरोध में हुई — AI-Generated Fake Prescriptions और E-Pharmacy platforms** का अनियंत्रित प्रसार।
AI Fake Prescriptions क्या है?
Times of India की एक जांच में सामने आया कि कई online pharmacy platforms AI से बनाई गई नकली prescriptions को बिना verification के accept कर रहे थे। इन prescriptions में fake hospital names और doctor details होते थे — लेकिन platforms ने इन पर psychotropic drugs, opioids, antibiotics और कुछ banned medicines भी deliver कर दीं।
AIOCD का कहना है कि physical chemist shops में ऐसी गड़बड़ी की कोई गुंजाइश नहीं होती — वहां एक trained pharmacist prescriptions देखता है और ज़रूरत पड़ने पर doctor से confirm भी करता है।
E-Pharmacy का विरोध क्यों?
- Online platforms 20% से 50% तक discount देते हैं जो capital burning करके funded है
- इससे small retail chemists की livelihood खतरे में है
- Ministry of Health and Family Welfare ने 2018 में e-pharmacy licensing rules का draft तैयार किया था — लेकिन आज 2026 में भी वे finalize नहीं हुए हैं
- Indian law में अभी तक “e-pharmacy” की कोई statutory definition नहीं है
हड़ताल का असर
देश भर में 12.4 लाख shops बंद रहने से आम जनता को medicines खरीदने में परेशानी हुई। हालांकि Bangalore District Chemists and Druggists Association जैसी कुछ bodies ने हड़ताल का समर्थन नहीं किया — उनका तर्क था कि इससे उल्टा लोग online pharmacies की तरफ और ज़्यादा जाएंगे।
क्या होना चाहिए?
Chemists की मांग है कि सरकार e-pharmacy regulations जल्द finalise करे और AI-generated prescriptions को legally valid न माना जाए जब तक verified doctor signature न हो।
यह मुद्दा सिर्फ Chemists और E-Pharmacy का नहीं है — यह patient safety का मुद्दा है।
