नई दिल्ली। Indian Navy के लिए सबसे बड़े defence deals में से एक — Project-75I (P-75I) को Union Finance Ministry ने मंजूरी दे दी है। ₹70,000 करोड़ की इस deal में 6 Advanced AIP Submarines भारत में ही बनाई जाएंगी। Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), Mumbai इन्हें Germany की thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (tkMS) के साथ मिलकर बनाएगी। अब Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) — जिसकी अध्यक्षता PM Modi करते हैं — की final approval बाकी है। यह Atmanirbhar Bharat** के तहत India की defence manufacturing में सबसे बड़ा कदम है। (IDRW, 2026)
Project-75I क्या है?
Strategic Partnership Model के तहत India की Navy को 6 अत्याधुनिक conventional diesel-electric submarines मिलेंगी। ये Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) technology** से लैस होंगी — जो पानी के नीचे ज़्यादा देर तक बिना surface पर आए रह सकती हैं।

AIP Technology — क्यों है यह खास?
AIP (Air Independent Propulsion)** एक revolutionary submarine technology है:
- Traditional diesel submarines को battery recharge के लिए समुद्र की surface पर आना पड़ता है — जिससे वे detect हो जाती हैं
- AIP submarines पानी के अंदर 3-4 गुना ज़्यादा समय तक रह सकती हैं बिना surface आए
- Silent operation — enemy sonar को पकड़ना मुश्किल
- China के पास AIP submarines हैं — India के पास अभी तक नहीं थीं
यह capability India को Pakistan और China दोनों के खिलाफ underwater warfare में edge देगी।
Atmanirbharta — कितना Indian होगा?
Make in India** की spirit में deal में indigenous content की requirement है:
- पहली submarine: कम से कम 45% Indian-made components
- 6वीं और आखिरी submarine: 60% Indian content — यानी हर submarine के साथ Indianization बढ़ेगा
- MDL Mumbai का capacity upgrade होगा — हज़ारों engineering jobs
- Indian vendors और MSMEs को supply chain में include किया जाएगा (Channel Iam, 2026)
India की Submarine Force — अभी कहाँ खड़े हैं?
Indian Navy के पास अभी:
- 15 conventional submarines (पुरानी, modernization की ज़रूरत)
- 2 nuclear submarines (INS Arihant, INS Arighaat)
- Target: 24 submarines by 2035
China के पास 60+ submarines हैं। Pakistan के पास** AIP submarines पहले से हैं। P-75I से India का यह gap भरेगा और Indian Ocean में Navy की dominance मज़बूत होगी।
अगला कदम — CCS Approval
Finance Ministry की मंजूरी के बाद अब proposal CCS (Cabinet Committee on Security) के सामने जाएगा। CCS की approval मिलते ही:
1. Contract signing — MDL और tkMS के साथ
2. Design phase — 2-3 साल
3. Construction शुरू — MDL Mumbai में
4. पहली submarine delivery — contract के 7 साल बाद
यह deal India के defence manufacturing को एक नए level पर ले जाएगी और Indian Ocean में India की strategic presence को अभूतपूर्व रूप से मज़बूत करेगी। (The Defense News, 2026)
